Available Positions:
Marine Service Technician
Technicians at Monahan’s Marine inspect, maintain, and repair boats up to 32′ in size. Using diagnostic equipment, test and repair boat engines, rigging, and navigational equipment. They also install and test sanitation systems, electrical systems, steering systems, and other boating accessories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect, maintain, and repair boats up to 32′.
Utilize diagnostic equipment to test and repair boat engines, rigging, and navigational equipment
Install and test sanitation and electrical systems, steering gear, and accessories
Troubleshoot, test, repair, replace, remove and install vessel systems and components
Overall knowledge of marine systems including electrical, plumbing & water systems
Troubleshoot, repair, and install vessel systems and components including but not limited to: electrical, electronics, HVAC, plumbing & water systems (fresh, salt, and waste), gas outboard engines
Must possess own tools, shop tools provided when necessary.
Availability to work overtime in order to meet deadlines
Technical and Physical Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Technical school training preferred
5 years’ experience preferred
ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferred
Ability to ascend and descend a ladder
Must carry own tools
Ability to work outside in all conditions
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Basic boat handling skills preferred
Experience with Yamaha Outboard Engines preferred.

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour

Boat Yard Team Member
Responsibilities would include maintaining service yard and buildings so that they look neat and orderly. Washing boats after job completion and before the customer arrives for pick up. Painting boat bottoms when needed. Assisting technicians with their jobs.
Candidates who are willing to be enrolled in Yamaha’s Apprentice ship program will be given priority for this position. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to begin a new career path and at completion will become a Yamaha Master technician. More details can be given upon request.
